Valve Type: Globe Valves

Descote Emissions Valve

The GLOBE VALVE gets its name from the shape of its body rather than from any internal parts.

Unlike a gate valve which allows or impedes flow through a straight passageway, an integral part of the globe valve's design is port configuration which forces a change in the direction of flow and creates the chamber in which the disc and seat will operate to regulate flow.

Globe valves have at least two notable advantages: for throttling (controlling partial flow) and for ease-of-service under heavy use.

Because of their suitability for a wide range of applications, globe valves are available in a wide range of metals, alloys and plastics.

Material selection depends on the characteristics of the media (including its concentration and temperature), and Associated Valve is both able and pleased to consult with customers on their specific needs.

Descote 1700 Bellows Sealed Globe Valve

Featured Globe Valve #2

Descote Model 1700 (Ecostar) Bellows Sealed Globe Valve

Model 1700 is designed for heat transfer of fluids up to 300°C (572°F)and other non critical hazardous fluids such as gaseous chemical and petrochemical applications.

Model 1700 is particularly recommended when solidification, polymerization problems, etc are encountered. It is commonly used on secondary circuits using synthetic and mineral thermal oils, i.e. polymer fibres and polymer-related processes such as polyethylene, polypropylene, PVC and PET units.

Model 1700 is recommended for applications involving Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), Hazardous Air Pollution (HAP), etc.

Model 1700 is also widely used for saturated steam and medium pressure superheated steam
