Valve Type: Check Valves

RP&C-Bonney Forge Check Valve

A CHECK VALVE is a backflow prevention device;
it only allows flow in one direction.

The force of a fluid flow (or gas under pressure) opens the valve while backflow (or reduced pressure) closes it.

Depending on the media and factors like temperature and accessibility, different devices may be used to achieve this "checking" effect; among them: single disc swing valves, double disc swing valves, lift-check, silent, ball-check and cone-check.

CheckRite Wafer-Type Swing Check Valve

Featured Check Valve #1

Check Rite Wafer-Type Swing Check Valve

The compact design of these Check Rite valves minimizes the distance between faces. They are easy to install between ANSI or other standard flanges.

The spring actuated disc assembly operates in either a horizontal or a vertical position, simplifying pipe layout. The closing action is designed to minimize the destructive effect of a sudden reversal of flow or line hammer, which is more evident in conventional check valves. Operation is automatic and silent when Check Rite is properly applied.

These valves are available in sizes 1 1/2" to 42" in ANSI Classes 125 to 2500. Standard materials of construction include Cast Iron, Ductile Iron, Steel and Stainless Steel.

Discs and seat rings are stainless steel. O-Ring seats are available when required. Other materials are available upon request.

Check Rite Swing Check Valves use only one set of flange bolts, which span the valve. The installed valve is more rigid than the length of pipe it replaces, therefore there is no need for expensive supports.

SWI Lift Check Valve

Featured Check Valve #2

SWI Lift Check Valve

1) Integral stellited seat

2) Tapered disc to minimize slamming of disc, ensuring longer life.

The lift check valve is an automatic valve that prevents return or reverse flow of process fluids. The lift check valve works automatically by line pressure.
